Bronx Trolley
Free weekends and major holidays from April 1 – October 31 staryting at 9:30am
NYC Visitors Information Center at Seventh Avenue & 53rd Street in Manhattan
The trolley stops at the Bronx Zoo, New York Botanical Garden, Arthur Avenue, and Fordham outdoor market.
Bronx Culture Trolley
First Wednesday of every month (except January and September) at 5:30pm
The trolley's evening run provides its riders with drop-off points where they can be treated to art exhibits, poetry readings, live theatrical, musical performances, and more!
The Heart of Brooklyn offers free trolley rides beginning at Prospect Park’s Wollman Center and Rink on the hour and makes stops throughout Prospect Park, as well as near Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park Zoo, and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The trolley operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays, 12pm - 6pm, throughout the year. See the schedule for more details.
Free parking in the Lower East Side of up to 3 hours with validation from participating businesses at an attended facility on Broome Street between Norfolk and Suffolk.
NY Waterway offers free bus service to ferry riders. Just hail the bus like a cab or catch it at the ferry station.

The Downtown Connection is a free river-to-river bus from the South Street Seaport to Battery Park. The bus runs from 10am - 7pm seven days a week. Hop on and off as much as you like.

The New York City Foundation for Senior Citizens offers free transportation for senior citizens. Five vans are available to take seniors to and from medical appointments and hospitals, and planned activities at senior centers. They also deliver meals.

Free water taxi to Red Hook (thanks IKEA!). Technically it's for Ikea customers but you don't have to buy anything or even go in the store to enjoy the free ride across the river.

- Sunshine Boston will take you to Mohegan Sun Casino for $12-17 for the bus ticket fee AND a bonus of $30 towards their bets and a $15 dining certificate.
- Chinatown-Bus, NYDC Express, Premium Bus, New Century Travel, and AA Bus will take you to DC for $20 one way/$35 round-trip and Philadelphia for $15/$20.
- Fung Wah Bus and Boston Deluxe will get you to Boston for $15 one way.
- Bus rides from Megabus are so cheap!! Rides out of Manhattan are as low as $5 to major Eastern coastal cities and upstate and we didn't see any for more than $15 (even to DC).
- Tiger Agency will transport you to Virgina Beach for $35 one way.
- Today Bus will take you to Philly for $12 one way.
- Tony Coach brings you to DC for $10 one way.
- Washington Deluxe will take you to DC for $21 one way/40 round trip with free wifi!
