• The CBS Corporation has announced that they will provide a wireless high-speed network in midtown Manhattan called the CBS Mobile Zone The zone will be from Times Square to Central Park South and from 6th through 8th Aves
• Downtown Alliance and the NY Gov Parks both have lists of Wi-Fi areas around town.
• Bryant Park and Union Square offer free Wi-Fi.
• View the coffee shops with free Wi-Fi.
• The NY Public Library also has free Wi-Fi.
• Brooklyn Museum offers free internet to visitors.
• ilovefreeWifi exhibits a list of hotels, restaurants, bookstores, and other businesses that offer free Wifi in Manhattan.

Our favorite exhibits are the Arms and Armor and Egyptian collections. You can’t see it all in one day. Free with admission, check out the highly-acclaimed guided tours and gallery walks The museum also offers events at various times such as lectures, classes, concerts, film screenings. In addition, The Cloisters (free with same-day paid ticket from the Met) offers free parking! Free admission to NYC public school students as well as students from Bard College, Barnard College, Columbia University, and Institute of Fine Arts with school ID. Suggested contribution for admission always.

Our public libraries offer a Netflix-like service to reserve DVDs and music!

• Search the NY Public Library to reserve a DVD by searching “Title (Alphabetical)” for the easiest results. When it is available, you can have it mailed to your home or receive an email or a call. You must have a NY Public Library card (not from other boros) to take advantage of this.
• Reserve music or DVDs at the Queens Public Library. The site can tell you where the requested item is available and you can pick it up or transfer it to your location. You must have a Queens Library card (not from other boroughs) to take advantage of this.
• OR you can turn on channel 1008 for Free Movies on Demand if you have Time Warner Cable.
