Visitors will be able to view archival material that shows vintage streetscapes—with the same views as they appear today—and illustrates the continuities and change over time at the Seaport.

George Washington’s NY Self-Guided Tour

The 90-minute self-guided tour tour begins on the harbor front at Castle Clinton and concludes on Wall Street at Federal Hall, the site of America’s first capitol building where George Washington was inaugurated as president. Very informative, easy to use, and colorful.  Has a great map so you don’t get lost.

Coney Island History Project

The Exhibition Center is located under the Cyclone roller coaster at Astroland in Coney Island.  The center houses a Video Interview Booth, exhibits, events and performances and displays historic artifacts from Coney Island’s colorful past.

The museum’s mission is to explore the past, present, and future of New York City and celebrate its heritage of diversity, opportunity, and perpetual transformation. Admission fees are otherwise a suggested contribution.

If you live or work in East Harlem you can visit the museum free of charge. Simply walk in the entrance, say “I’m a neighbor,” and the suggested admission charge will be waived.
