Free Public Exhibit! The Exhibit will take guests through two centuries of the Seaport’s epic changes, which have affected New York City and entire region. Visitors will be able to view archival material that shows vintage streetscapes—with the same views as they appear today—and illustrates the continuities and change over time at the Seaport.

The Drawing Center is the only not-for-profit institution to focus on the exhibition of drawings. It provides opportunities for emerging and under-recognized artists, exhibits the diversity of drawings throughout history, and hopes to create a public dialogue on issues of art and culture. They also provide great public programs and workshops.

The Center for Architecture is a hub for all interested in the built environment.  The Center for Architecture annually hosts 1000 day-time and evening programs that cover subjects related to architecture, planning, and design.

Ask to see the geothermal unit with is taller than the Empire State Building.  It heats and cools the center.

It is a teaching museum, preserving and exhibiting the importance and richness of the lessons of history while providing panels, speakers and exhibits about the dynamic world of finance and its markets, current practices and issues.

The Museum is comprised of over 30,000 square feet of exhibition space and educational facilities in New York City’s largest concentration of restored early 19th-century commercial buildings. The Museum houses exhibition galleries, a working 19th-century print shop, an archaeology center, a maritime library, a craft center, a marine life conservation lab, and the largest privately-owned fleet of historic ships in the country. The Bodies Exhibit is NOT part of the museum.

If you live or work in East Harlem you can visit the museum free of charge. Simply walk in the entrance, say “I’m a neighbor,” and the suggested admission charge will be waived.

This organization will pick up any materials and clutter from your apartment, warehouse, or office. These “art materials” will then donated to an organization in need such as not-for-profit arts and cultural groups, NYC Department of Education art teachers, ongoing art programs, or government agencies. Apply to donate or receive. Great way to reuse what would otherwise end up in a landfill. They also provide workshops at a $10 nominal fee.
