Every Tuesday at Starbucks across this city, you can pick up the “Pick of the Week” music selection cards. You can find a pile of these cards usually by the milk and sugar area. These songs are free to download on iTunes — simply enter the code on the back of the card.  The selections so far have been pretty good.

The NYC Downtown Boathouse

This organization offers free programs and facilities from the Hudson River Park. Free programs include 20 minute walk-up public kayaking, 3 hour kayak trips on the harbor, and introductory kayak classes on Wednesday evenings and during the winter at an indoor pool. Facilities are also available to the general public for the launching of small hand powered boats. See website for dates and details.
