How can you get original but cheap art? There’s no better place than student art shows like Hunter College or Cooper Union. These schools usually introduce their MFA graduates to the art market with semi-yearly coming out parties. Other schools with student shows are Brooklyn College, City College, Columbia University, New York Academy of Art, NYU, Parson School of Design, Pratt Institute, and School of Visual Arts.

Carnegie Hall offers free performances in every borough throughout the year. Check your own borough for more details. Carnegie Hall Family Concerts, recommended for children ages 5-12, are a wonderful way for parents to introduce their children to the world of music! For just $9 per ticket, audience members will enjoy a fun and educational afternoon at Carnegie Hall. Every child receives a copy of KidsNotes, a concert program designed especially for them. KidsNotes is filled with fun activities, pictures, puzzles, and information about the concert.

Also available are $10 partial view tickets. A limited number of partial-view seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Box Office on the day of the performance beginning at 12pm. Limited 2 per person.
